Under Donald Trump, the ICE (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement) has turned into a paramilitary thug squad that is just as willing to resort to violence as the SA henchmen of the 1930s.

The armed thugs of the ICE, but also the arbitrary deployment of the National Guard, are intended to frighten the public and make it clear that it is not democratic law that rules, but power, the violence monopoly that Donald Trump claims for himself personally.

The question of whether ICE's recruitment policy leads to right-wing and far-right individuals in particular taking advantage of the opportunity to infiltrate the agency.
